Back at Puerto Williams

We are anchored just off of Puerto Williams and will be here until the other ship gets out of our way...probably 10pm. The charter flight is landing. Those folks are the last to embark on that ship. Same thing will happen with Silver Cloud...we diembark by 8 am and they start loading the next group around 2pm.

Our channel pilot is in that "fuzzy" tug. He will hop on at some point and steer the ship into dock.

Somewhere in the middle of Antarctic Sound...hitting the gas to avoid possible nasty weather on the way back through the Drake Passage. Only 3 m waves as opposed to 10m!  Tonight's supper I tried tempura soft shell crab for first time. It was OK. And Dover Sole Mueniere...no doubt misspelled that. I did the deboning myself! 😁 Softshell Crab dinner appetizer Dover Sole Meunière dinner entree The tea selection Afternoon tea with finger sandwiches: egg salad, smoked salmon, cucumber, roast beef. Grilled Barramundi with crab risotto Braised Red Snapper and Shrimps. Yes, shrimpS Mediterranean Kalamata Puff Antipasti menu Each table gets a little antipasti at  La Terrazza  restaurant (most of my meals were in main dining) Zuppa Pappa Pomodoro Cacio e pepe entree at  La Terrazza Breakfast in the room.  Tiramisu! Panna cotta Technically not onboard yet....meal on chartered flight from Santiago to Puerto Williams. A Chilean stew. It wasn't bad but definitely differen...

Drake Passage, Point Wild, and beyond

Good morning my friends! Finally escaped my room and gout thanks to bringing my meds and a big steroid shot in the a$$ from ship's doc. I didn't take pics of that. Latte in the Panorama Lounge. Seas are a bit rougher and colder but not bad. Elephant Island One of our daily lectures about what we saw and the plan for the following day What we have to wear when going on land.
