Whales in Neko Harbour

Neko Harbor was canceled because of weather and ice. While making our short way to Cuverville Island 2 whales were spotted. Ship stopped and everyone rushed to deck 5 "Titanic" area of the bow. I stayed "home" and got this little 2 min show. Update: There were 3 adults and baby. Still not sure what species but probably Humpback or Orca. The Finn and Minke do not breech like that...according to our experts on ship.

Somewhere in the middle of Antarctic Sound...hitting the gas to avoid possible nasty weather on the way back through the Drake Passage. Panna cotta Technically not onboard yet....meal on chartered flight from Santiago to Puerto Williams. A Chilean stew. It wasn't bad but definitely differen...

Drake Passage, Point Wild, and beyond

Good morning my friends! Finally escaped my room and gout thanks to bringing my meds and a big steroid shot in the a$$ from ship's doc. I didn't take pics of that. Latte in the Panorama Lounge. Seas are a bit rougher and colder but not bad. Elephant Island One of our daily lectures about what we saw and the plan for the following day What we have to wear when going on land.
